Special Scholarship Program for Children of Development Lotteries Board Agents and Sales Assistants

The President’s Fund has initiated a special scholarship program to provide educational scholarships to the children of lottery sales agents and sales assistants, based on a concept proposed by the Development Lotteries Board.

The inaugural program of this special scholarship initiative was held in the North Central Province on 23 August 2026, where scholarships were awarded to the children of lottery sales agents and sales assistants in the province.

The event was held at the Anuradhapura Provincial Council Auditorium under the patronage of Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne, Member of the Board of Governors of the President’s Fund and Hon. Speaker of the Parliament of Sri Lanka. The event was also attended by distinguished guests, including the Chairman/CEO of the Development Lotteries Board, Attorney-at-Law Hemantha Swarnathilaka.

This scholarship program will support the children of members of our sales agent network throughout their school education. The program will be implemented island wide, and we look forward to your continued support, both now and in the future, to further strengthen and expand this valuable initiative.
