Jagath P Wijeweera assumes duties as the new chairman of DLB

Mr. Jagath P Wijeweera, retired senior officer of Sri Lanka Administrative Service, has been appointed as the new Chairman of Development Lotteries Board by Hon. Minister of Finance. 

Mr. Jagath P Wijeweera, who has commenced career as an officer in SLAS, has gained wide experience serving 35 years in public service. 

During his tenure Mr. Wijeweera has served various posts in Departments and Ministries and further held the post of Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Defence. 

Mr. Wijeweera, who has held the post of Director General of the Department of Customs, has made his contribution holding the post of Secretary of the Ministry of Law and Order. 

He has possessed his first Degree in Aesthetic Studies from University of Kelaniya and possessed Post Graduate  Degree in International Relations from University of Colombo. 

Mr. Wijeweera assumed duties as the new Chairman of DLB on 10.02.2020.
