Development Lotteries Board
On December 24, 2024, another cheque distribution event took place, celebrating the wonder of Christmas. The event was chaired by Mr. Hemantha Swarnathilake, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Development Lotteries Board. It also featured the participation of the management team, including General Manager Mr. Anura Jayaratne, at the Development Lotteries Board head office premises.
Several lottery winners were awarded their prizes at a recent event. Among them, Ada Kotipathi won the super Jackpot of Rs. 85,383,097 from the development lottery. Additionally, there was a Kapruka lottery millionaire Jackpot winner who received Rs. 10,000,000. A lucky winner of the Lagna Wasana Super Jackpot was awarded Rs. 5,953,704, along with five other winners who each received Rs. 2,500,000 from the Supiri Dhana Sampatha Lottery. Cheques were presented to all the winners during the ceremony.
Awards in the form of cheques were presented to 32 recipients who each received twenty lakhs, as well as to 21 recipients who each received ten lakhs.
On that day, cheques amounting to Rs. 198,836,802/—were distributed among 61 winners from development lottery tickets scattered throughout the island.
DLB has decided to introduce the existing lottery of Kotipathi Shanida, very popular lottery in the market, in a new face as Kotipathi kapruka. Accordingly the new lottery ticket will be issued to the market on 02nd August.
