Development Lotteries Board enters in the network with Bank of Ceylon and Peoples Bank for enhancing efficiency

Development Lotteries Board has taken initiatives to enhance performance with the application of the methods and new technologies.

Accordingly Development Lotteries Board has taken action to enhance the efficiency and productivity of financial transactions of the institution by way of connecting its computer system with the systems of Bank of Ceylon and Peoples Bank, the main state banks of the financial market of the country.

This method, which accounts daily financial transactions, will ensure convenient service delivery to 92 Sales Distributors of DLB, 2500 Sales Agents and nearly 20,000 Sales Assistants.

The significance of this networking is that the collaboration of these three government institutions under the Ministry of Finance can ensure a more productive service to the people.

Today DLB is presenting a large number of super winners to the country whilst changing the lives of its Sales Distributors, Sales Agents as well as Sales Assistants.

In the meantime DLB ensures its maximum contribution for the progress in economic, social, education and health sectors. DLB has remitted Rs. 2,668,792,667(2.6 billion) in 2019 as the profit from operations to the President’s Fund and accordingly the DLB has gone beyond its target of 2019. Further DLB could record a sales volume over its target in 2019 and the turn over reported by DLB is Rs. 17.8 billion. Therefore DLB is at present looking forward with much confidence.

Further DLB has now introduced an e-lottery and it is still at testing level. Therefore DLB proudly informs that, in near future, the customers will have the opportunity to try their luck with the e- lottery, when this facility is extended all over the country.
